Introducing Vguard: a non-invasive nighttime brain therapy
Vguard is a medical device intended for use in the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease and cognitive disorders. It uses non-invasive neuromodulation through stimulation of the auricular branch of the vagus nerve. The therapy is administered during sleep, when physiological memory consolidation processes take place. The decision on whether therapy can be initiated is made by a physician.
What is Vguard?
Vguard is a therapeutic system comprising a neurostimulation device, specially designed ear electrodes, and software supporting the proper use of the therapy.
The stimulator delivers controlled electrical impulses to the auricular branch of the vagus nerve without the need for surgery or electrode implantation.
The entire system has been designed for regular, long-term use in accordance with the physician’s recommendations.
